Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is a cover freebie, with the prompt: Pick any topic related to book covers. You can make up your own topic or pick one from the list of previous ones!
I decided to go with spaceships… historic, modern, or science fiction! Anything involving space flight counts from where I’m standing!
Here’s my batch of 10:

- An Infinite Love Story by Chanel Cleeton
- Leviathan Wakes by James S. A. Corey
- The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers
- Spaceman by Mike Massimino
- The Right Stuff by Tom Wolfe
- Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid
- Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky
- The Collapsing Empire by John Scalzi
- Serenity: Those Left Behind (graphic novel)
- Space by James A. Michener
What books have you read (or do you have on your TBR) with spaceships on the covers?
If you posted a TTT list this week, please share your link!

I need to read Spaceman and The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet. Thanks for stopping by earlier.
Both are great! I really enjoyed the audio version of Spaceman, narrated by the author.
Love this angle for the cover freebie! A spaceship on the cover is such an instant promise of where a story will take you. Children of Time and The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet are favorites of mine here, and Atmosphere earning a spot makes me want to bump it up my TBR. I went with covers that honestly match their story this week over at Lesbian Romance Reads (lesbianromancereads.com) — really enjoyed comparing approaches!
Thanks for sharing your link! And yes, I highly recommend Atmosphere — such a powerful, memorable story.
An Infinite Love Story is newer, right? If so I think I almost preordered that one, then got annoyed at B&N’s increased minimum for free shipping and changed my mind 😂
Yes, I think it just came out — I picked it up on a whim at a bookstore last week, after hesitating a bit because it’s tagged as magical realism, which I would not expect in an astronaut story!
Great choice of covers! I still haven’t read it yet but I love this cover for Atmosphere so much. 😍
I love this cover too! I don’t own a physical copy, and I’d like to… the book is so good!
I love your picks, and oh, how I loved the Firefly tv series! Becky Chambers and Taylor Jenkins Reid are two of my favorite authors, and I have Leviathan Wakes on my TBR. Hazehttps://thebookhaze.com/
Browncoats forever! I love Firefly so much. Becky Chambers and TJR are favorites of mine too 🙂
Great choice! I wonder how many I would have?
I was surprised once I started looking through my shelves!
I love that edition of Atmosphere.
Me too! I don’t own a copy of my own yet, but I’d like to!
This is an amazing topic! Fabulous!
Thanks!
What a great selection! And a fun idea too. I love the variety you found😁
Thanks! I love space stories, so it was a natural for me 🙂
I love this choice for your freebie week and that’s a great selection of covers.
Thank you!
A great list. I didn’t know that there were that many covers with them on. I don’t think that I have read any with one on the cover!
Have a great week!

My post:
Thank you! I always enjoy these freebie cover themes — thanks for sharing your link!
Same, until I can’t find the books 🤣
Thank you 😊
I have been thinking about reading Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky.
I had a copy for a few years before I finally read it — it’s very good! Now I need to continue the series…
I don’t read much sci-fi. PROJECT HAIL MARY is one notable exception. I loved the book and the movie!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

I loved Project Hail Mary (book and movie) too!
What a fun choice!! I love Firefly and Serenity ❤ My first thought was Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy which I am pretty sure has a spaceship on at least one cover 😂
Ha, you know, I actually looked at Hitchhiker’s Guide for this post, and couldn’t find a version that had a spaceship!!
I love this topic and my kids would too! haha. They are all about space and spaceships right now!
How fun! I bet there are some awesome kids’ books with space themes!
Oh yes, we have so many of them right now. We also checked out a ton at the library this summer!! 🙂
I love the sky on An Infinite Love Story and Atmosphere. I dont think I’ve read a book with a spaceship on the cover 🤔 a definite sign that I need to start reading books from my sci fi TBR. A few of these are already on that list though and I’m excited to get to them.
I hope you enjoy whichever you pick up! I just bought myself a copy of Infinite Love Story and I’m excited to read it, and I loved Atmosphere!
Have a good week. Here is my TTT. https://dmhoisington.wordpress.com/2026/08/11/top-ten-tuesday-37-books-i-was-reading-on-this-day-over-the-last-ten-years/
Thanks!
Great choice for the freebie. It makes me want to go and check how many covers I could rustle up.
Lynn 😀
I’d love to know if you find any!
