Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is The Ten Most Recent Additions to My Book Collection.
I’ve bought a few hardcover editions of favorite books over the last several weeks, but since those are all books that I’ve already read (and in some cases, already have in my e-library), I thought I’d focus on my greatest buying temptation: Kindle books. I can’t resist a good Kindle price break, even though the result is having more e-books than I have time to read. It’s not the worst problem to have!
Here are the ten Kindle books I’ve added most recently:

- Burn by Peter Heller
- Miss Benson’s Beetle by Rachel Joyce
- The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin
- One Perfect Couple by Ruth Ware
- Ready or Not by Cara Bastone
- Says Who? by Anne Curzan
- The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters
- The Glory by Herman Wouk
- The Secret Book of Flora Lea by Patti Callahan Henry
- There’s Something About Mira by Sonali Dev
Have you read any of my recent additions? What books have you bought most recently?
If you wrote a TTT post, please share your link!

I went for the last print purchases I got for my list but I truly relate to the Kindle purchase temptation. The prices drop so dramatically at times and I always check out their monthly offers 😂 I haven’t heard of The Left Hand Of Darkness but I’ll definitely be looking that up. And I’ve only read one Ruth Ware book so far and majorly need to try more sometime. I hope you enjoy all of these whenever you get to them.
Thanks so much! I’m feeling a little cautious about trying the Ruth Ware book — the synopses of her books always sound so good, but the one I’ve read so far really didn’t work for me in a lot of ways. Still, I’m willing to keep trying!
Which one of her books did you read? It’s been years since I read The Woman In Cabin 10 so I can’t remember it well tbh but I think I liked but didn’t love it 🤔 I can’t remember for definite but I can’t remember being wowed by it. Hopefully this one will work for you 🤞
I read The Turn of the Key, and just didn’t find it convincing. But, there are a couple of others with plot descriptions that hooked my interest, so I will try more!
I think that’s one of the ones that caught my eye 😬 but there were another two or three I was curious about I believe. Hopefully one of the ones you’re interested in will work for you.
I hope you’ll like Left Hand of Darkness more than I did! 🤞

It feels like a big gap in my sci-fi reading not to have Left Hand of Darkness yet! I’ve only read short stories by Ursual Le Guin, and that feels like something I should correct. 🙂
The Left Hand of Darkness was good. Hope you like it.
Thanks, I hope so too! I feel like I should have read that book ages ago already, and I really do want to get to it finally.
I do love a kindle buying spree! I got some vouchers for Christmas so I’m due a buying spree!
It’s so hard to resist when there’s a great Kindle deal!
Ready or Not is one that I have been thinking about picking up!
It sounds so good! I think that may be one of my next audio choices.
I hope you enjoy it!!
I hope you love these! I haven’t bought any books just yet, but I’m going on my first shopping trip since having the baby this weekend and I can’t wait lol. It’s been three months since I’ve been in a bookstore.
Three months without a bookstore? Parenthood demands so many sacrifices 🙂 Enjoy your shopping this weekend!
Yes! Which it doesn’t help that I’m from a small town so it’s a drive to get to a store. But we had the best time, and I spent wayyy too much money lol.
Oh I fully subscribe to the “kindle books don’t count” line of thinking, at least in terms of my TBR, lol. I don’t even have an e-reader, but I still take advantage of deals because I figure I will someday, and meanwhile, those are my Emergency Books.
I found Burn very compelling. Hoping to read Ready or Not this year; I have a weird hangup where I can’t decide whether to choose that one or Out on a Limb first. I think I’ll like both, but there’s a chance I won’t, and I’m afraid of “ruining” the 2nd-position one if I end up not loving the one I read first.
Haha, I definitely relate to the idea of emergency books! I’m glad to hear you enjoyed Burn; it’s one I’m really looking forward to reading it.
The Berry Pickers and Burn are two books I’ve heard good things about. I hope you find time to read all of these😁
Thanks! My book group will be reading The Berry Pickers in the fall, so unless I’m a total slacker, that’s one I’m pretty confident I’ll get to. I do want to read Burn — I’ve only read one Peter Heller book (The Dog Stars), but it was excellent, and I’ve been wanting to read several of his other books.
Well, this Rachel Joyce addict will hope you love Miss Benson’s Beetle as much as I did!
I’m so happy you loved it! It’s an upcoming book group book for me, and the person who recommended it has been raving about it!
Kindle book deals are IMPOSSIBLE to resist for me as well, even though I already have hundreds of unread books in my e-library. The struggle is real!
I’ve read ONE PERFECT COUPLE. It’s probably my least favorite of Ware’s books because the characters are mostly unlikable and the storytelling just felt kind of blah and rushed. I still whipped through it, though, because it was definitely compelling. I hope you enjoy it and all these others.
Happy TTT (on a Thursday)!

Ha, the struggle is real indeed! Thanks so much — I’ve only read one Ware book so far, with only mediocre results, but the plots of her books all sound so good that I’m willing to keep trying!
Someday I’ll read an Ursula K. Le Guin book. I hope you love all these!
Thank you! I feel like I should have read Left Hand of Darkness many, many years ago… but I do want to make it happen!
I quite liked Ready or Not. It certainly was a complicated situation. Hope you love all of these.
