Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2019.
I’m so excited for all of these… as you could probably tell if you took a peek at my pre-order list. A lot of these books are sequels or parts of series, and that’s just fine with me. Here are my top ten anticipated books — see the list below for release dates.

I’m really excited for Reticence too!
I love the series so much!
Great list! Wayward Son made my list this week, too. I need to read The Handmaid’s Tale and to catch up on the October Daye and Custard Protocol series!
It’s been so many years since I read The Handmaid’s Tale. I really wonder how easy it’ll be to get back into the story, and whether the events in the sequel will mirror what’s been happening on the Hulu show or go in a completely different direction.
Great list! I’m excited for Wayward Son as well. And I will always be ready for more of anything from Gaiman!
The Gaiman book is an illustrated version of one of his short stories that I’ve always loved (so disturbing!).
I didn’t even know about Malorie! Just added it to my list. And I’m excited for The Institute as well:-)
New Stephen King books are always welcome! 🙂
The Testaments is on my list, too! I’ve been counting down the days to that book’s release for months now. So excited.
My TTT.
I’m really excited to read it, but I can’t help wondering whether the storyline will match up with what’s happening on the TV series or go in a completely different direction.
I had no idea about Malorie! I haven’t read Bird Box to be honest, but I loved the movie. Would you say the movie was pretty accurate for the novel?
Yes and no — the relationships and situation in the house are a little different, but the major plot points are the same. If you have time, I’d say read Bird Box!
I had no idea there was going to be a second Bird Box book, I better get to reading Bird Box now so I’m ready!!
Definitely! I just read Bird Box this year, so I’m really excited for the sequel.
I’m so happy Goblet of Fire has a release date. I’ve been waiting for it. The Testaments is also on my list. My TTT: https://pandaluvsbooks.wordpress.com/2019/06/18/top-ten-tuesday-most-anticipated-releases-june-december-2019/
i love the illustrated HP books! They’re so special.

Me too! They’re all so pretty…
Awesome list! Oh my gosh! Malorie! I had no idea there was going to be another Bird Box book! I need to add that to my list! Also, super excited for The Testament, which I had no idea was coming out this fall so it didn’t make it on to my list. Definitely going to need that one right away.
Really excited for both! I’m so curious about Malorie and where the story might go next.
So excited for more Seanan! Really, really excited for the next illustrated HP though.
Luckily, Seanan writes about a billion books per year, so we never have to go too long without something new. 🙂
Oooh Snow, Glass, Apple by Neil Gaiman looks cool! I will add it to my TBR, Thanks!
It’s a really great and disturbing short story — can’t wait to see an illustrated edition!
All of these sound so good! I’m so, so, so excited for them. Especially Wayward Son. Also, on the topic of authors on this list, I really need to get to reading some of Seanan McGuire’s releases. I’m not sure why I haven’t!
Seanan McGuire is an absolute favorite of mine — highly recommended!
I definitely live under a rock – I had no idea until today that Margaret Atwood and Stephen King had new books waiting to come out – excitement!
Lynn 😀
So much to look forward to!
Great list! I am so excited for Wayward son!!
Me too! But I need to re-read Carry On first. 🙂
