Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is the top ten books on our fall to-be-read lists. Sigh… I love these TBR topics. Ten books that I want to read? No problem.
New books, recently released and soon to be released:
1) The Marvels by Brian Selznick
2) The Heart Goes Last by Margaret Atwood
3) Saga, volume 5 by Brian K. Vaughan
4) The Unfortunate Decisions of Dahlia Moss by Max Wirestone
5) Until We Meet Again by Renee Collins
6) The Aeronaut’s Windlass by Jim Butcher
And some books that I’ve had for a while, but need to actually read:
7) The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
8) Depth by Lev AC Rosen
9) Lock In by John Scalzi
10) And wrapping it all up, I want to finally get to one of the three Austen Project books currently sitting on my shelves:
One more for good luck? Why not? I got all the way to ten, and realized I forgot to include a book that I’m really looking forward to:

I really need to get onto the saga graphic novels!! I’ve never really brought a graphic novel but everyone who reads these LOVES them so I think it’s about time I got on the bandwagon!! I am so excited and nervous about After You, I’m not sure how I’m ever meant to ship Lou with anyone but Will!! Plus I don’t think I’m emotionally ready to cry my way through another book!! Great list 🙂
I know what you mean, I have a hard time picturing Lou falling in love — but I suppose she needs to move on with her life! I’m so looking forward to reading that book. And definitely check out Saga! It’s such an amazing series.
My hunch is that she’s going to end up dating that guy she was chatting with on the sight about Will! I’m going to feel like a psychic if I’m right! LOL!
Okay, you remember more of the details than I do! Can’t wait to find out. 🙂
Haha I just read it the other week it’s till fresh in my mind!
Great list, Lisa! The Marvels has a beautiful cover, and I really like the cover of Margaret Atwood’s new book, too. I’m all caught up with Saga now, and all I can say is I’d like the next volume right now please. I hope you manage to get to some of these!
Oh, I just love Saga so much! I’m saving vol. 5 for the weekend, when I’ll hopefully be more relaxed and can just enjoy it.
I’m so looking forward to the new Jim Butcher series!
Eeeeek! I can’t wait. I think I’m going to a book signing next weekend, and I’m so excited!
I also have Girl on the Train for next month. I’m so curious to find out how good it is, everyone just keeps comparing it to Gone Girl.
I’m curious too — my book group picked it for October, and I’m really interested in seeing if it lives up to the hype.
Hi! That Max Wirestone book looks good. The Fall TBR list is going to grow for me. 🙂

I know what you mean — these TBR TTT posts always end up making me want more books!
I am sooooo excited for the volume 5 of Saga!!!! I can’t wait! I love that graphic novel series. So so so much! I also read and enjoyed The Girl on the Train but I liked Gone Girl better? they compare the two a lot… Great list overall!

Yay, another Saga fan! Have you read Y: The Last Man too? It’s so good. 🙂
I’m definitely curious about Emma by Mccall Smith.
That’s the book that started me on an Austen rereading kick this year! I knew I wanted to read the McCall Smith version, and wanted a refresher, and then I got totally sucked into listening to all of the Austen audiobooks! Not complaining, it was fun. 🙂
I’m wanted to read the Jojo Moyes/Me Before You series for a while. I really SHOULD get around to it. I look forward to hearing what you think about it if you read it first!
Me Before You is really worth reading! I’ve loved everything by Jojo Moyes that I’ve read so far. 🙂
My copy of Saga is waiting for me at home right now! I just got the email saying it was delivered! Can’t wait! Great list 🙂

Exciting! Mine is here, but I think I’m going to wait for the weekend when I can have some dedicated reading time. 🙂
I hope you enjoy The Unfortunate Decisions of Dahlia Moss; I read it…last month, I believe? via Netgalley…and absolutely loved it xD It was funny and fun and intriguing.
Great list, happy reading! 😀
Yay! I’m so glad to hear you liked The Unfortunate Decisions… it looks like such fun!
Oooh, I have my eye on the Marvels. He wrote the book Wonderstruck, right? I also have yet to read Girl on a Train. So many books!
Yes, same author as Wonderstruck, which I thought was just so beautiful. 🙂
Agreed, it was lovely. Definitely adding this new one to the TBR.
I can’t wait to read Until We Meet Again either! I have to admit, the cover was the first thing that caught my eyes because it’s absolutely gorgeous. Hopefully the book is just as good. The Girl on the Train was really good. I didn’t like it quite as much as Gone Girl but it was a good enough read. Hope you’ll enjoy all these novels! 🙂
Awesome list!
My TTT
Ha, I agree about the cover of Until We Meet Again! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
I keep seeing Saga and I’m so intrigued!!! I hope you enjoy these books.
Thank you! And I definitely recommend checking out Saga, if you like graphic novels. Excellent series!
I’m so looking forward to the Jojo Moyes as well – I really enjoyed The Girl On The Train and The Heart Goes Last sounds well worth a read too,
I’m glad to hear you enjoyed The Girl on the Train! (I’m pretty sure I read your review, as a matter of fact. 🙂 ) The Jojo Moyes book should be awesome, although I’m a little bit nervous about Me Before You having a sequel.
Great list! I just read The Heart Goes Last and really enjoyed it. Girl on the Train was REALLY good and I am looking forward to After You as well. I have it on preorder! Here is my list: http://www.bookbinges.blogspot.it/2015/09/top-ten-tuesday-fall-tbr.html
I’m glad to hear you like The Heart Goes Last! It sounds like my kind of book. 🙂
I need to read The Girl on the Train as well!
I’m looking forward to it! My book group picked it for October, so I’ll finally have the push I need to get it done. 🙂
I’m on the hold list for Saga 5! I’m super intrigued by Marvels too — trying not to buy too much new stuff though, so maybe that will be a library borrow for me too 🙂
I’m so excited for both… and since I actually have my own copies, it’s just a question of finding time! I’m trying to power through some “obligation” reading in the next week or so, and after that, I’m hoping to turn over a new leaf and just read whatever I feel like!
The Girl On The Train is yet another book on my TBR that I really want to read but just haven’t got around to yet.
My TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2015/09/22/top-ten-tuesday-23/
It’s been on my TBR list for a while now, but now I have a book group commitment that’s making me finally read it!
I really fancy the new Margaret Atwood but then I realised it was a sequel so I suppose I should really start at the beginning.
The Girl on the Train is really good so hope you enjoy it.
Seeing Northanger Abbey on your list reminded me that I have that book somewhere too and really must get around to reading it soon 🙂
Hmmm, I don’t think the Atwood is a sequel! I think (if I understand correctly) that part of it was originally published as a serialized story, but it’s been rewritten. Looking forward to The Girl on the Train, thanks!
That’s good because it means I can give it a go without feeling I’m missing anything that came before. Yet another book for the TBR list 😀
This is an awesome list. I think we have quite similar taste. I have Saga v.5 on my list too 🙂
I’ve had that Sense & Sensibility retelling/reimagining(?!) on my wishlist for ages so I really need to get my hands on it. I must check out the Emma one too.
I’ve been meaning to get to the Austen retellings for a while now, and I really want to make it happen this year! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂 Enjoy Saga!
I really adored The Marvels. I have to hit up Selznick’s backlist now because I loved his style! I’ve got the 5th Saga waiting for me to pick up at my library! Can’t wait. Lock In has been getting tons of love. I have yet to read anything of that authors but I’ve got a ton of them on my TBR. 🙂 Happy reading!
Wonderstruck by Selznick is really a beautiful book. Can’t wait to read The Marvels!
