Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is Books About/Set In Places on My Bucket List. I think this list will be very similar to a recent TTT about armchair travel… but I’ll try to avoid too much duplication (although books #1 and #2 just can’t be helped!)
Here are my top 10 books with bucket list destinations:

1. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
Bucket list destination: Scotland
Not exactly shocking to see Outlander on a TTT list of mine… but this is the book that first made me dream of a trip to Scotland, and I’m still determined to make it happen!

5. Jane Was Here by Nicole Jacobsen & Devynn Dayton
Bucket list destination: A Jane Austen tour of England!

6. Diavola by Jennifer Thorne
Bucket list destination: Tuscany
(although the experiences described in this horror book are definitely not on my bucket list!)

9. Every Summer After by Carley Fortune
Bucket list destination: Ontario (ideally, summer by a lake in Ontario!)

10. Moloka’i by Alan Brennert
Bucket list destination: Moloka’i, Hawaii
(I’ve been to other of the Hawaiian islands, but not Moloka’i — and I’ll take any excuse for a trip to Hawaii!)
What books made your list this week?

Ooh these are some fun places! I would love to go to Tuscany, although I agree, I wouldn’t want the experiences they had in Diavola!
Haha, no, that book is terrifying! I was trying to come up with other (more pleasant) Tuscany books… but this one really is a favorite 🙂
Great list! You’ve mentioned so many places I’d love to visit one day too, especially Ireland, Hawaii, and Ontario 🙂
I hope you get to all of these places as they are all super. In Scotland you can take an Outlander tour and visit places mentioned in the book. The only places on your list I haven’t been to are Tuscany and Santorini, Greece. I love this challenge.
Scotland is one of my top bucket list destinations too
Thanks for sharing your #TTT
Yay for Anne of Green Gables!
So many lovely places!
Oooh Diavola looks so good! You got me with that cover. I had to immediately look it up
Every Summer After is one of my favorite books ever! I also want to visit Lake Ontario someday too!

Ah, I always wanted to go to PEI! One day!
I’ve visited that specific lake in Ontario through that exact same book and it’s companion, and I still have to read Love & Olives! But this final one in the trilogy has flown quite under te radar.

One of my bucketlist items is to go to PEI to visit the Anne of Green Gables site and do the tour, one day!!
