Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is Books With Occupations in the Title.
This is a fun one! Here are books from my recent reading years that fit the prompt:

- The Lieutenant’s Nurse by Sara Ackerman (review)
- The King’s Messenger by Susanna Kearsley (review)
- The Hebrew Teacher by Maya Arad (review)
- The Auctioneer by Joan Samson (review)
- The Mystery Writer by Sulari Gentill (review)
- Midwives by Chris Bohjalian
- The Bookseller of Inverness by S. G. Maclean (review)
- Disappearance of a Scribe by Dana Stabenow (review)
- The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray (review)
- The Bodyguard by Katherine Center (review)
Which books made your list this week?
If you wrote a TTT list, please share your link!

Fab list! As a fantasy reader, I found this topic really hard!
LOL, I suppose there are always occupations like dragon rider and mage and sorcerer!
Just off to read your review of The Auctioneer. The title caught my eye as one you might not think about as a readable subject.
I had an estate agent feature as one of my books for this topic.
Here’s a link to my post.
Estate agent — that’s a good one, and not one I’ve seen on other lists yet today!
I can’t believe I forgot Bodyguard for my list! Fabulous post! 🙌
Thanks! I had fun this week 🙂
Great selection! I’ve read The Bodyguard of these, and quite a few of the others are on my TBR.
The Bodyguard was so good!!
Good list! I also included The Bodyguard, and I’m very intrigued by The Bookseller of Inverness. Thanks for the recommendation.
I think The Bodyguard made a lot of lists this week! Such a good book.
Nice list! I loved The Body Guard
Same! But then again, I think I’ve loved all of her recent books.
Me, too!
Great list! I wanted to do a whole list of bookseller or librarians, but I have not read many of them!
Haha, I made a note to myself while working on this post to come back to booksellers as a future freebie topic!
Oh, that’s a great idea!! I can’t wait to see that list.
I wish I’d thought of putting The Bodyguard on my list this week. I love that book. And I love the eclectic selection of occupations you found. 😀
Thanks! The Bodyguard was such a good book!
I love this list! And I’m glad you reminded me of The Auctioneer, I’ve been meaning to track down a copy😁
I hope you do — it’s such a good one! (And I’m glad it’s been getting another burst of attention ever since Grady Hendrix’s Paperbacks from Hell)
THE MYSTERY WRITER is on my list this week as well. It sounds like a great read!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

I didn’t 100% love it… but at the same, I absolutely couldn’t put it down!
Thanks for the review of The Personal Librarian. I borrowed it from the library a while ago but never got to it. I think it’s one I can safely skip. Like you, I’d rather look up the actual facts instead.
She did have a fascinating life, so it really is worth looking into!
