Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is Most Anticipated Books Releasing in the First Half of 2025.
Despite good intentions (read more from my shelves! request fewer ARCs!), I find myself with an absolute TON of ARCs and preorders for new books releasing over the next few months. Yes, I’m looking forward to reading them all (that’s why I requested/ordered them!), but it feels like a lot to keep up with, no matter how amazing they’ll all be.
Still — I really am excited about reading these upcoming new releases!
Here are (just some of) the books I can’t wait to read in the first half of 2025:

Listed in order of release date:
- The Sirens by Emilia Hart (3/4/2025)
- The Tomb of Dragons (Cemeteries of Amalo, #3) by Katherine Addison (3/11/2025)
- The Martian Contingency (Lady Astronaut, #4) by Mary Robinette Kowal (3/18/2025)
- When the Moon Hits Your Eye by John Scalzi (3/25/2025)
- Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez (4/1/2025)
- Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry (4/22/2025)
- Overgrowth by Mira Grant (5/6/2025)
- Death at a Highland Wedding (A Rip Through Time, #4) by Kelley Armstrong (5/20/2025)
- Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid (6/3/2025)
- The Battle of the Bookstores by Ali Brady (6/3/2024)
- One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune (5/22/2025)
Yes, that’s eleven, not ten: I just couldn’t decide which one to drop!
What upcoming new releases are you most excited for? If you wrote a TTT post, please share your link!

Oooh didn’t know Taylor Jenks Reid has a new one coming!
lol or apparently I forgot because I had requested it 😉
I’m excited for When The Moon Hits Your Eye, too.
I’m super excited about the new Mira Grant! And I can’t resist a bookshop romance. I’m not usually that interested in TJR books but I love reading about the space race, so I’ll probably try and get that one on audio.
I actually love TJR books usually, and the space program is something I love reading about too, so I’m really excited for this one!
I’m always happy when there’s a new John Scalzi book to read!
I just started the Knowles series. Martian Contigency sounds promising!
I’m really excited for The Martian Contingency, although I’d hoped to have time to reread the earlier books in the series first, and I’m not sure that’s going to work out 🙂
We have a few overlapping! I need to check out The Sirens!! I hope you enjoy all of these. 🙂
The Sirens looks so good! I loved the author’s previous book, so I can’t wait to try it. So many great books to look forward to!
Weyward was her first, right? I loved that one too!! Yes, so many books!!
Emily Henry has another new book?! I can’t keep up with her.
Haha, I know what you mean! But I think she’s one who releases a new books every spring… so it’s time!
Tomb of Dragons is on my most wanted book list too. I can’t wait to see what happens in this final book of the series.
Same here! I’d really love to see another book focused back on Maia… but meanwhile, this one should be really good!
I would love to see another book at the court but set around one of the women. I think that would make a brilliant story
That would be amazing! I’m up for reading anything set in that world, to be honest. Love it so much.
I’ve only read one TJR book and honestly, it didn’t change my life… But Atmosphere actually looks kind of interesting!
I’ve really enjoyed all of TJR’s books (Daisy Jones especially), but some of her topics aren’t as interesting for me. Atmosphere sounds right up my alley!
I see several books in common with other lists, but not with mine 🙂

Well, now I’m curious to see what’s on your list! 🙂 It’s nice that we all have so many books that we’re excited for
I do love an Emily Henry read!
Absolutely! Always a nice way to start the spring!
I’m really looking forward to the new Jimenez romance and the new Ali Brady one, too. They write such fun books. 😀 (And I’m hoping this comment doesn’t disappear into spam like my last comments must have done, because they’re nowhere to be seen.)
Jimenez and Ali Brady have quickly become must-read authors for me! Can’t wait for their new books!
mira grant’s got one coming out, that’s awesome. i loved feed.
Top Ten Most Anticipated Books
Feed was amazing! I loved the whole series, and also the killer mermaid books 🙂 Definitely excited to read her new books!
I’m so eager for The Tomb of Dragons too! Can’t wait. Battle of the Bookstores has caught my eye now though… 👀
I’m excited for Tomb of Dragons too! I love the world of those books.
All of these books look like interesting reads. Hope you enjoy them.

Thank you! I just hope I find time to read as much as I want this winter and spring!
We have several titles in common. Happy reading! My TTT https://readwithstefani.com/most-anticipated-books-releasing-in-the-first-half-of-2025/
Happy reading to you too!
I’m hoping to get the ARC of Atmosphere but I might have to buy a copy…
I’d love an ARC too… but I’m guessing they’ll be hard to come by. Good luck to both of us!
Yes, well… doesn’t bode well for me, because I’m in Israel, but fingers crossed!
Battle Of The Bookstores looks amazing! I hope you’ll love all these books 🙂

The Rip in Time series is so good!! Kelley Armstrong has become such a favorite of mine over the past couple of years — all of her books are amazing!
I’m very excited for Sirens and Overgrowth. And I know what you mean about ARCs, I’m deliberately staying away from Netgalley yet my months are starting to pile up with them! How does this happen??
Between February and March, I have 14 ARCs to read! But if I can get through all of those, I’ll be in much better shape moving forward 🙂 … and just need to get better at showing a little restraint when it comes to requesting books!
I’m attempting another comment though my last three comments have fallen into limbo…or spam. Who knows. I hope this one goes through.
I’m curious about The Sirens too and majorly need to start the Goblin Emperor series. I always majorly relate to the owned book/upcoming book struggle. I’m fine arc wise atm but I have my eye on so many upcoming books that I can majorly see myself getting side tracked from my owned TBR 😂 I hope you enjoy all of these. And good luck getting to some of the titles on your shelves.
Thank you! Even when I try to have some restraint, it’s hard to resist new books, especially when they’re by authors I love. The Goblin Emperor is such a favorite of mine — I hope you give it a try!
I think it’s almost impossible to resist temptation when authors you love have new books coming out 😅 and I definitely plan to. I hope the upcoming one is another favourite for you.
Overgrowth is on my list as well, but in a different TTT post:
Scalzi is tempting. Nit sure about Kowal. I stopped after the first book, I was not a huge fan.
I really like Kowal’s writing, in the Lady Astronaut series and other books too. Scalzi is always a must for me!
