Happy Halloween!
Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is a Halloween freebie! For my Halloween post, I’m going to focus on horror novels on my to-read list. (I’ve done this topic a few times in the past several years, and given the state of my TBR list, it’s time to do it again.) Some of these books have been around a while, and some are upcoming new releases:

- Starling House by Alix E. Harrow
- Black Sheep by Rachel Harrison
- How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix
- Dread Nation by Justine Ireland
- What Feasts At Night by T. Kingfisher
- Hemlock Island by Kelley Armstrong
- The Changeling by Victor Lavalle
- The House that Horror Built by Christina Henry
- How to Make a Horror Movie and Survive by Craig DiLouie
- A Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay
Have you read any of these (or for the upcoming new releases, do you plan to read them)? Which ones look best to you?
What’s on your Halloween TTT this week? Share your link, please, and I’ll come check out your top 10!

Starling House and Black Sheep are on my tbr as well! I hope you enjoy them!
Thanks, I hope you do too!
I’ve read some of these authors but none of these particular books. Some are on my TBR. Hope you enjoy them all once you get to them!
Thank you! I’ve read other books by some of these authors, which makes me extra interested in these!
I didn’t realize Starling House was horror. I love that author, so I guess I’ll still read it. I hope you love these. Happy Halloween!
Thank you! Happy Halloween!
HEMLOCK ISLAND is one I want to read too. I love Kelley Armstrong!
Happy TTT!

I haven’t read any of her big series, but I’ve really liked the few books I’ve read, and this one looks great!
Fantastic list! The Henry, DiLouie and Kingfisher are at the top of my 2024 TBR😁
They’re all must-read authors for me 🙂
I’m looking forward to reading Starling House. And I didn’t love How to Sell a Haunted House as much as I thought I would, but it’s a pretty good read. And I liked certain things about Hemlock Island, but didn’t love the ending. So I’ll be very interested to see what you think of both of those books. Happy reading! 😀
Can’t wait to try them both!
This is an interesting list to me. I don’t like horror at all, but I hope you love them.
Thank you! I try to mix horror into my reading throughout the year, so I have lots to look forward to! 🙂
