Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is Books on My Summer 2023 to-Read List.
I’m hoping to get to a LOT of books already on my shelves… but I also have a bunch of new releases coming up that I’m really looking forward to, so the key will be finding the right balance of old and new!
For this list, I’ll just focus on some upcoming (and recent) new releases that I’m excited for:

- Hello Stranger by Katherine Center
- The Summer Skies by Jenny Colgan
- Thornhedge by T. Kingfisher
- With Love From Cold Word by Alicia Thompson
- Infinity Gate by M. R. Carey
- Ravensong by TJ Klune
- The Breakaway by Jennifer Weiner
- Sleep No More (October Daye, #17) by Seanan McGuire
- All the Dead Shall Weep (Gunnie Rose, #5) by Charlaine Harris
- Thief Liar Lady by D. L. Soria
What are you planning to read this summer? Please share your links!

Ravensong sounds good.
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
It’s #2 in a series, and I loved #1 so much!!
good books suggested
Thanks – I’m excited for them all!
👍👍👍
I love the cover for Infinity Gate.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Me too! It’s a bit on the longer side, so I need to find a quiet week to concentrate on it, but I’m looking forward to getting started!
I need to start with the Green Creek series! I have Under the Whispering Door by TJ Klune on my Audible library, but haven’t started listening yet. Perhaps during the upcoming holidays.
I hope you get to read all your chosen books this season!
Elza Reads
Thank you! I hope you enjoy Under the Whispering Door — can’t go wrong with a TJ Klune book!
Katherine Center’s books always make my TBR list! I’m looking forward to reading Hello Stranger. And I think With Love From Cold World looks like a very fun one, too. 😀
Same here re Katherine Center — her books are always so good! I read the previous book from the author of With Love From Cold World last summer and really enjoyed it, so I’m excited to check this one out too. Hope you enjoy your summer reading!
Hello Stranger has an interesting premise!
Can’t wait to read it!
Thornhedge is a great (but short!) read! Ive got Ravensong to read too!
I’m holding off on Ravensong until I have a few days off next month — I want to be able to read for hours straight!
Center’s book was good. I hope you enjoy it.
Thanks — I’m excited for it!
I hope you enjoy these! I’m looking forward to The Last One Left by Riley Sager.
I’ve never read any of Riley Sager’s books, but I’ve heard such good things!
I hadn’t heard of Thorny Hedge, and I thought I at least knew the title all of T Kingfisher’s books. But here we are… Thanks! I will add it to my TBR. I’ve loved everything I’ve read by Kingfisher so far.
Same here! She really can’t go wrong — at least not that I’ve seen so far!!
There’s so much variety on this list, I hope you love them all😁
Thank you! Infinity Gate is a holdover from my spring list — but I know you rated it highly, and I’ve heard such good things, so I’m determined to make time for it. 🙂
TJ Klune is an author I really need to read someday. I hope these books are great!
Thanks! I highly recommend TJ Klune — I’ve yet to read one of his books and not love it!
Some appealing suggestions! Have wishlisted some.
1) London Rules by Mick Herron. Next in the brilliant Slough House espionage series.
2) Lessons by Ian McEwan. One of my favourite authors, I make sure to read every exquisite sentence slowly.
3) Dolores Claiborne by Stephen King. An oldie of his that amazingly I haven’t read.
4) Trust by Hernan Diaz. Has caught my eye because it’s been getting a lot of marketing push at the moment.
I haven’t read Dolores Claiborne yet either! I love King, but I do have a bunch of his older books that I need to go back and read.
