Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is Titles with Animals In Them and/or Covers with Animals On Them. I love looking at interesting book covers, so I’m going with the book cover theme. Here are my 10:

- Hollow Kingdome by Kira Jane Buxton
- 100 Sideways Miles by Andrew Smith
- The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black
- Down the Mysterly River by Bill Willingham
- Misty of Chincoteague by Marguerite Henry
- American Hippo by Sarah Gailey
- The Spare Man by Mary Robinette Kowal
- Hunting Ground by Patricia Briggs
- Winter Rose by Patricia A. McKillip
- The Chronicles of Chrestomanci by Diana Wynne Jones
What books made your list this week? If you wrote a TTT post, please share your link!
American Hippo looks super unique. I want to read it now. 🙂

It’s amazing — a Western with cowboys riding hippos, absolutely unique.
Fab list – loved the Queen of Nothing x
I love that series so much!
Winter Rose looks interesting.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I haven’t actually read it, but I picked up a copy last year at our library book sale, and definitely want to give it a try!
The dog of The Spare Man is so cute ❤
SO cute!! And so great in the story too.
I love the cover of Hollow Kingdom.
It’s such a good book. 🙂
The Spare Man is on my list too! I love that little dog!
The dog is one of the best characters!
I remember reading Misty of Chincoteague when I was young. All these books sound good.
I think I read a bunch of Marguerite Henry books as a kid, but Misty was always a favorite.
Misty of Chincoteague by Marguerite Henry is on my TBR. That area is not too far away from where I live. I’ve seen horses there. It’s beautiful! 🙂
Oh wow, I’d love to go there some day and see the horses!
Love your choices…especially the two with horses on the cover. I put one of Patricia McKillip’s books on my TTT list this week, too. 😀
I haven’t actually read this (or any other) Patricia McKillip books, but I definitely want to! This is the one I own a paperback copy of, so maybe this summer…
I have just finished Queen of Nothing, and I love the look of Down the Mysterly River
I love Queen of Nothing (and the whole series)!
Great choices! American Hippo intrigues me! And 100 Sideways Miles too. Marguerite Henry never disappoints.
Marguerite Henry was such a favorite when I was a kid! I was very into horses — although I never actually got near one until I was an adult. 🙂 American Hippo is amazing.
Misty of Chincoteague really takes me back…all the way to fourth grade, where my teacher read all the Marguerite Henry books.
Oh, I loved those books! The one that has really stayed in my mind over the years is Mustang, Wild Spirit of the West (although it doesn’t seem as though many other people have heard of it).
American Hippo cracks me up when I see it.
The idea is hilarious… but it’s actually intense and so well done!
I LOVE the Chrestomanci books!
Here’s my list:

I’ve never actually read the Chrestomanci books, but this one has been in my house for years, so I really do need to get to it!
Misty of Chincoteague!! Oh how I loved that book. Awesome list, I also love seeing 100 Sideways Miles. I always loved that cover😁
I loved Marguerite Henry’s books as a kid! I still have a bunch, even though my kids never really got into them.
I kind of want to read 100 Sideways Miles just because of the cover. 🙂
I don’t remember much about the plot (except that it was definitely weird), but the cover has stayed in my mind!
