Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is Most Anticipated Books Releasing In the Second Half of 2022.
Where do I even start? I want to read ALL the books… but here are ten I’m really excited about.. while also trying not to repeat books I’ve highlighted in other TBR posts already!

- The Bodyguard by Katherine Center (7/19)
- Carrie Soto Is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid (8/30)
- Killers of a Certain Age by Deanna Raybourn (9/6)
- Be the Serpent (October Daye, #16) by Seanan McGuire (9/6)
- Fairy Tale by Stephen King (9/6)
- Drunk on Love by Jasmine Guillory (9/20)
- The Spare Man by Mary Robinette Kowal (10/11)
- Scattered Showers by Rainbow Rowell (11/8)
- Well Traveled by Jen DeLuca (12/6)
What new releases are you most looking forward to? Please share your links!
This is an amazing list! I’m so curious about Carrie Soto is Back, and I didn’t even know there was a new Rainbow Rowell coming out😁
The Rainbow Rowell is stories, and normally I wouldn’t pick up a short story collection, but I make exceptions for favorite authors. 🙂
I didn’t know about some of these and they look good! Here’s mine: https://susanlynknits.com/2022/07/05/top-ten-tuesday-anticipated-releases-for-2nd-half-of-2022/
Thanks! I have more books to read than I can possibly get to. 🙂
Good picks! I MUST read SOMETHING finally from Rainbow Rowell–I have a few lost in my kindle. I LOVED the Bodyguard (NetGalley)–my review will be up closer to publication day (probably the 18th)
Oh, awesome to hear that you loved The Bodyguard! Although I’m not surprised to hear that it’s great — I’ve enjoyed her previous books so much. I’ll be reading it later this month — look forward to comparing reactions with you!
I also want to read all the books. The struggle is real, isn’t it? I didn’t realize Rainbow Rowell had another book coming out! I really need to pick up their work soon, since I’ve heard such good things about their work. Killers of a Certain Age looks really good, too. Hope you get to read all of these!
Here’s my TTT post.
Thank you! Rainbow Rowell is so talented — this is a collection of stories (some of which I think have been previously published, but new ones too). I can’t wait for all of these and more — how are we supposed to find the time??
Fairy Tale was on my list, too!

It sounds so good!
I just added The Spare Man to my tbr. That sounds so good!
I’m excited for it!! Although I do wish we were getting the 4th Lady Astronaut book this year, but I’m happy to read pretty much anything she writes!
Well Travelled made my list, too! I can’t wait for more of that series!
It’s so much fun, isn’t it? Every time I read one, I want to put on a costume and go to a Ren Faire!
Fab list, we are really spoilt for choice aren’t we!
Almost too many books! Well, no such thing, really, but there’s never enough time to read everything I want to read!
I want to read ALL the books, too! (But especially The Bodyguard and Well Traveled. 😀 )
So excited for both of those!
Carrie Soto made my TTT this week, too! I really need to read the Well Met series. I hope you enjoy these!
FangirlFlax @ FangirlFlax
The Well Met series is so much fun! (If you enjoy audiobooks, they/re really fun for this series too).
I really want to give them a go! I’m not usually an audiobook person–I find it hard to concentrate with people talking at me, haha–but I’ll have to give the samples a go!
Jen DeLuca is everywhere today. I just added her first book in this series to my TBR, so I can check her out. Hope all of these end up being great reads for you!
Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy the Jen DeLuca book!
I didn’t realize Rainbow Rowell had a new book coming out. I love her so much! 😀 I’m really interested in The Bodyguard too. I hope you enjoy all of these.
Thank you! The Rainbow Rowell book is a story collection — which, from any other author, I might not be as interested in, but for RR, I’ll read whatever she writes!
I’m excited about KILLERS OF A CERTAIN AGE, too. Deanna Raybourn is such a fun author! I adore her Veronica Speedwell series. I hope you enjoy all these!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

I love the Veronica Speedwell books too! I’d like to go back and read some of her earlier books too, but meanwhile, I’m excited for Killers!
Carrie Soto is the one I want to read from your list.
I’m still hoping to get approved for an ARC… but if not, I’ll be jumping on my library’s hold list as soon as I can!
I’m curious about Fairytale and the new Silvia Moreno-Garcia
I’m excited for both! I don’t always read every new Stephen King book, but this one really sounds great!
It really does! I haven’t even read a Stephen King book in years! 🙈
