Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is One-Word Reviews for the Last Ten Books I Read. I tried, but I couldn’t think about how to do this — my list would have been basically: scary! funny! sweet! etc… not very enlightening.
So, I thought I’d do a bit of word association. Remember playing word association games? Say the first word that comes to mind…
In this case, I decided to do the two words that come to mind when I think about the most recent books I’ve read. Here goes!

Hollywood & Hyenas

Narwhals & Cheese

Mule & Pajama Party

Lawyers & Scones

ASL & Anarchy

Bonedog & Dustwife

Doll-children & Surveillance

Tudors & Shapeshifters

Cake & Kissing

Dating & Demons
How did you do with this week’s TTT prompt? Did you have better luck than I did writing one-word reviews?
Share your links, and I’ll come check out your top 10!
Mule and Pajama Party is by far the most intriguing š
Definitely an interesting combination! š
What a fresh, fun, and original take on this week’s topic! Happy TTT!

Thank you! Hope you’re having a great week!
Ha! I love this, Lisa. Very clever! Sometimes we only have time for a 2-word summary. š
Sometimes two words is all we need! š
Yup!
The School for Good Mothers was such an interesting read!

Did you like it? Definitely held my interest, but I had issues with it too.
Love this, it’s a clever take on it ā¤ļø
Thanks so much! It was a fun one.
Love your two-word thoughts on these books. They’re so great! š
Aw, thank you! I had fun putting it together.
Hollywood and Hyenas is definitely an intriguing one!
My TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2022/05/03/top-ten-tuesday-366/
Definitely not two words that get thrown together very often! š
No!
Interesting take on today’s prompt. I like it, though. It has me really interested in all these books because I’ve read My Lady Jane and understand your word choices there, lol.
My Lady Jane was so much fun! As soon as I catch up on a stack of ARCs this month, I want to continue the series.
I don’t even know what Bonedog & Dustwife mean, but it still makes me want to pick up Nettle & Bone.
Haha, I hope you do give it a try!
I don’t know what kind of book has both Narwhals & Cheese but it sounds like something I need to read! What a fun take on today’s topic!
Thanks! I could have gone with other words for that particular books (refugees, beach, scones…), but these seemed like the most fun. š
This is an excellent way to peg the books you’ve read. It gives you a little more wiggle-room than trying to stick to a one-word review.
I always enjoy how people find their own way to do TTT topics — and this week, I needed a different spin for sure. Thanks!
Um, Tudors & Shapeshifters you say? lol Color me intrigued.
The book is so much fun! It made me happy from start to finish — just smart and funny and silly, really a treat.
I like this idea much better than one word reviews! š
Thanks! The one-word concept just didn’t work for me. š
My Lady Jane was so much fun. š
I agree! Have you read the other books in the series? I can’t wait to read the next one.
