The Monday Agenda 11/24/2014

MondayAgendaNot a lofty, ambitious to-be-read list consisting of 100+ book titles. Just a simple plan for the upcoming week — what I’m reading now, what I plan to read next, and what I’m hoping to squeeze in among the nooks and crannies.

How did I do with last week’s agenda?

Hello From the Gillespies by Monica McInerney: Done! Stay tuned for the Fields & Fantasies Book Club discussion post, coming up on 11/30.

My two new book arrivals!

I’m so excited to read the newest Serenity graphic novel! Plus, I’m planning to settle in with some Stephen King reading over Thanksgiving weekend. Let’s give thanks for an amazing and prolific writer!

  1. So many books!

The Scarlet Pimpernel is one of my co-blogger’s favorites. I hope you’re enjoying it!

I have never read anything by Patricia Wrede, but I see her name often and am starting to think I should add her to my list!

    • I’m really glad to finally be reading The Scarlet Pimpernel (although sticking to one chapter per week is a bit frustrating). This is my 2nd Patricia Wrede series, and I have a couple of other books of her I’d like to try as well. Can’t believe I never read anything by her until this year!

    • I agree – she’s an amazing writer! Yes, so far, I’ve also read One Plus One, The Ship of Brides, and The Girl You Left Behind, and I still have a copy of Last Letter From Your Lover to read — hopefully soon!

    • A friend of mine just finished it and really liked it. I plan to start in the next day or two (although I should really read the copy of Mr. Mercedes that I bought last June first — but oh well.)

    • The previous three editions were all prequels/companions to the TV/movie story, but the new one takes place after Serenity… and it’s wonderful! I just finished it last night and will post something about it this week. 🙂
