Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is Love Freebie, which means we all put our own spin on the topic of LOVE.
Focusing on my favorite love stories from the books I’ve read recently has become my go-to topic for the “love freebie” TTT topic — I’ve been keeping it going since 2020! Here are my ten twelve favorite love stories that I read in the past year:

- Every Summer After by Carley Fortune (review)
- Love You a Latke by Amanda Elliot (review)
- The Wrong Lady Meets Lord Right by Suzanne Allain (review)
- Better Than Fiction by Alexis Martin (review)
- Pardon My Frenchie by Farrah Rochon (review)
- My Vampire Plus-One by Jenna Levine (review)
- The Sound of Waves by Yukio Mishima (review)
- Slow Dance by Rainbow Rowell (review)
- Finding Mr. Write by Kelley Armstrong (review)
- Funny Story by Emily Henry (review)
- The Neighbor Favor by Kristina Forest (review)
- The Only Game in Town by Lacie Waldon (review)
Yes, I went to twelve! I just couldn’t decide which to drop, and had to hold myself back from including even more!
What were the best love stories you read during the past year?
If you wrote a TTT post this week, please share your link and let me know your topic!
Happy Valentine’s Day!

Lovely list! 💖
Thank you!
Great list! I loved Funny Story and have several of these on my TBR. I have meant to get to Every Summer After for so long!
A coworker urged me to try Carley Fortune’s books, starting with Every Summer After, and I”m so glad I did!
I have heard so many good things about it. I’ve had it sitting on my shelf since it came out.
I’ve only read Every Summer After from your list, Slow Dance is still on my TBR.

These all look so good!
It was hard to limit myself to just these 🙂
I have Latke and Slow Dance on my list as well! I haven’t read these others but it looks like a list I should check out. Funny Story has been on my list for a while. Happy TTT!
Oh, yay, great to have books in common! Even though I only read Slow Dance a few months ago, I think I’m ready for a reread already!
I love, love, love Kelley Armstrong, so I have no idea how I missed Finding Mr. Write. This list is amazing!
Thank you! The Kelley Armstrong book was so much fun — it was really entertaining reading her take on a rom-com (and she has another coming out this spring!)
My Vampire Plus-One sounds fun.
It was very silly and very entertaining!
My Vampire Plus One is a book I’d need to read!
Have you read the first book, My Roommate is a Vampire? They’re both so silly, but so much fun.
Yes and I loved it!
Wonderful list, I love your take on the topic. I haven’t read any of the books you’ve included 🙈 but a few are on my TBR and I’m not surprised to see an Emily Henry novel here given how popular her romance books tend to be (I majorly need to try one this year). I’m also particularly interested in Slow Dance and will have to look up The Only Game In Town as I hadn’t heard of it before. Here’s hoping 2035 brings even more new romances to fall for your way.
2025 🙈
Haha, let’s hope 2035 will bring us great romances too! 🙂 I do love the Emily Henry books — it’s become a nice annual spring tradition to look forward to her new books!
Yes very true 😂 I hope you enjoy her latest and will watch out for your thoughts on it.
I really want to read The Wrong Lady Meets Lord Wright, it sounds great! And also those Jenna Levine vampire books. Great list and I like your topic, it’s a nice way to look back at the romance books you read in the last year and remember your favs 🙂
My TTT this week.
Thanks, it’s always fun to look back!
