It’s that day of the week again…
I enjoy two different Tuesday memes, and once again, their topics align this week — so I’m linking up with both!
Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is Best Books I Read in 2024.
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Meeghan Reads — and the topic is Top 5 books of 2024.
Since we have a top 10 and a top 5, why not combine and list my Top 15 Books of 2024? (That’s actually easier, in a way — fewer hard decisions to make!)
I could have added even more — but I’ll stop at 15. I’m including a mix of genres and topics; some serious books, some upbeat or funny or romantic — but all are books that I really enjoyed and that I’m especially happy to have read!
Without further ado…
Here are my 15 favorite books from my 2024 reading:

- The Women by Kristen Hannah
- The Warm Hands of Ghosts by Katherine Arden
- The Guncle by Steven Rowley
- The Ladies Rewrite the Rules by Suzanne Allain
- The Secret Countess by Eva Ibottson
- Disturbing the Dead by Kelley Armstrong
- My Oxford Year by Julia Whelan
- The Husbands by Holly Gramazio
- The Lost Story by Meg Shaffer
- A Sorceress Comes to Call by T. Kingfisher
- Songs for the Broken Hearted by Ayelet Tsabari
- Close Knit by Jenny Colgan
- The Love Elixir of Augusta Stern by Lynda Cohen Loigman
- Every Summer After by Carley Fortune
- Weyward by Emilia Hart
What were your favorite reads of 2024? Do we have any in common? If you wrote a TTT or T5T post, please share your link!

I did two favorites lists this year because I found it impossible to choose only 10 books, so I love that you did 15. The Lost Story and Weyward are two I really want to read next year. And I really liked The Women, too. Such a great historical fiction novel. Wishing you a very Happy New Year! 😀
Happy New Year to you too! I hope you do get a chance to check out The Lost Story and Weyward! It was so rewarding to work on this list and realize how many books I loved in 2024 🙂
lol! Very creative way to make a top 15 list! Loved Ladies Rewrite the Rules! Happy new reading year! 📚🥂
Happy new year to you too! I really enjoyed all the Suzanne Allain books I read this year, but Ladies Rewrite the Rules was especially fun!
It was great fun! 🙌
I’ve heard good things about The Warm Hands of Ghosts.
It was so powerful and memorable. I’ll be reading it again in 2025 with my book group!
It’s impossible to pick ten books, so why not 15? I really loved The Warm Hands of Ghosts. I want to read The Guncle and The Husbands. Happy new year!
Happy New Year! Wishing you a great new year of reading!
I adore the Rip in Time series. It’s so fun! I’m glad you enjoyed DISTURBING THE DEAD and all these others.
Happy TTT!

I love the series! Can’t wait for the next installment!
I did read TKingfisher this year, but not A Sorceress comes to call, what feasts at night.
ASCC will be added to my reading list.

T. Kingfisher has become one of my favorites over the past few years. Can’t wait to see what she writes next!
I’ve seen The Warm Hands of Ghosts on so many lists, including mine! And I love seeing Weyward as well. I’m excited to read her new book😁
Me too! It’s one of the new releases I’m most looking forward to in this new year!
Lovely list. I’ve only read one of the books, Weyward, but I did really enjoy it. The Warm Hands Of Ghosts & A Sorceress Comes To Call are books I want to read ASAP and I remember the concept of The Husbands intriguing me so it’s wonderful to know that it was such a hit with you. I love how varied this list is too. Happy New Year and I hope that 2025 will bring lots more favourites your way.
Happy New Year! It was nice to look back and realize just how many books I really loved this past year. Weyward was great!
The Women was terrific. Loved it. Happy New Year.
So glad you loved The Women too! Happy New Year!
I’ve seen The Husbands on a few lists. It sounds really weird and interesting!
Totally weird and interesting! It’s definitely unique, and such a great read!
