I have high hopes for so many of my upcoming reads! Sticking to books to read (or being released) in 2024, my top five are:
- Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune
- So Thirsty by Rachel Harrison
- The Life Impossible by Matt Haig
- The Wood at Midwinter by Susanna Clarke
- I’ll Be Waiting by Kelley Armstrong
What are your 5-star predictions for the rest of 2024?
Bookshelf Fantasies 
The Wood at Midwinter captured my attention, I’m on a hunt for a christmas or holiday book that I like and this seems like one I should try!
She’s such a great writer! I have no idea if this is actually a holiday book… but I bet it’ll be good, no matter what!
Ah okay, regardless it seems atmospheric and/or seasonal and that’s enough for me😂 I still have not read anything by the author but really want to!
I can confirm Somewhere Beyond the Sea was a huge 5 star from me!
I’ve been waiting for my hardcover to arrive before I read it… and it got delayed! So frustrating! I’m not the least bit surprised to hear it was a 5-star book for you — I can’t wait!
Somewhere beyond the Sea would be on my top 5 too.

I hope all five of these live up to your expectations. They’re all on my TBR too although I need to check out all of the authors besides Kelley Armstrong 🙈 given the praise I’ve seen for books by the other four I don’t know how I haven’t read anything by them yet.
I can’t say enough good things about them all! I’ve loved so many books by these authors!
