Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is a freebie — which means we all choose our own topics.
Hanukkah starts in just two days (this Thursday night), and since Hanukkah is the Festival of Lights, my TTT post will be all about candles, lights, and flames!
Here are 10 books whose titles fit my topic — all are books that I’ve either read or plan to read!

- Light From Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoka
- The Flame and the Flower by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss
- The Light We Lost by Jill Santopolo
- A Light in the Attic by Shel Silverstein
- The Light Fantastic (Discworld, #2) by Terry Pratchett
- Light Years From Home by Mike Chen
- Midnight Blue-Light Special (Incryptids, #2) by Seanan McGuire
- Light a Single Candle by Beverly Butler
- All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
- Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros
What was your TTT topic this week? If you wrote a post, please share your link!
Wishing all who celebrate a very happy Hanukkah!

I love this theme. Great for the time of year and some fantastic choices.
Thank you!
What a cool theme for today! I love it! I have read Silverstein’s and Yarros’s books on your list.
I’m in the middle (actually, only first quarter) of the Yarros book — doesn’t feel like a holiday book, but the title fits. 🙂
Happy Hanukkah! I’m really missing natural sunlight. It’s wonderful to have other sources of light when it’s so dark outside.
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
I’m looking forward to enjoying candlelight! I miss the sunlight too — it’s always so disheartening to leave work when it’s dark out.
Fun list! 🙌
Thanks!
This is a great list! Fantastic choices. The covers are so pretty.
Thank you! It was a fun one to put together. 🙂
I loved A Light in the Attic. Happy Hanukkah!
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Shel Silverstein books are so terrific! Spent countless hours giggling over them with my kids.
What a fantastic list! Happy Hanukkah!!!
Thank you! Hope your holidays are happy this year!
What a fun topic! I’ve read A LIGHT IN THE ATTIC (a million years ago), but that’s it from your list.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday) and Happy Hanukkah!

Thank you! I was so happy when I realized Shel Silverstein fit with my topic — I still have copies in the house, and would love to reread his poems!
How lovely! And clever… Happy Hanukkah!
Happy Hanukkah to you too!
Tonight, the first candle, is my nephew’s Hebrew birthday. The 4th candle is my daughter’s Hebrew birthday. So we’re really into Hanukkah in our family.
That’s awesome! My husband is making latkes tonight, and has decided to try homemade sufganiyot too !
Lovely! But, I’ve never even tried to make sufganiyot. No real need, here; the bakeries make such great ones, really creative too! But, OH the calories!!!!!
They were delicious!!
I love this idea😁 And you found such an interesting mix of books.
Thank you! This was a fun one (and I always love to drag out some of my very old books, like Light a Single Candle and The Flame and the Flower!)
