Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is Books I Loved So Much I Had to Get a Copy for My Personal Library.
This does happen for me quite a bit! Sometimes it’ll be an audiobook I’ve listened to that I need to own in print, or maybe I’ll have read either an ARC or e-book or library book and fallen for it so hard that I needed my own copy!
Here are my top ten:
1 . The Emily Starr trilogy by L. M. Montgomery

2. The Good Neighbors (graphic novel trilogy) by Holly Black
3. If It Bleeds by Stephen King
4. Newsflesh trilogy (boxed set) by Mira Grant
5. The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune
6. The Beautiful Ones by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
7. Wonderstruck, The Marvels, and The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick
8. Watch Over Me by Nina LaCour
9. Plain Bad Heroines by emily m. danforth
10. Mythos by Stephen Fry
What books made your list this week?

I’ve heard so many good things about The House in the Cerulean Sea.

It’s such a sweet, delightful book!
I LOVED if it bleeds. King is hit and miss for me, but that one was a great one! 🙂
He can be hit or miss for me too, but I loved the first story in If It Bleeds so much that I just had to have my own copy.
Love your list so much! Here is mine:

Thanks! This was a fun one.:)
House in the Cerulean Sea 100%, I have 3 copies of it 🤣🤣🤣
Haha, 3 copies??? One for every room in the house?
I LOVED the Newsflesh series!
So good, right? I read them all as library books, and realized I just NEEDED them on my shelves.
House on the Cerulean Sea is on my list. I like the look of those Emily books 😂
Have a great week!

My post:
The Emily books are lovely — I listened to the audiobooks, then wanted copies of my own, and stumbled across these hardcover editions, which are just so pretty!
They are great. I can’t believe that I haven’t heard of them before!
If I’d done this week’s TTT I would have had to list practically every book I own…and that’s a lot more then 10! ;D
Haha, I can relate — it was hard to stop at 10!!
I’m reading Feed sometime this month. It’s my book clubs next pick. I’m really excited. I’ve heard awesome things about it and Seanan McGuire. 😀
My TTT
Oh, that’s fabulous! I’d love to know what you and your book club think. Can’t go wrong with a Mira Grant/Seanan McGuire book!!
You have to own physical copies of all Brian Selznick books, right?😁
Absolutely!! They’re just too pretty to pass up. Not sure how anyone could be satisfied with reading them on Kindle — you really need the printed page to appreciate the artwork!
I think The Beautiful Ones might be my favorite SMG book. I just reread it for the third time this summer.
Oh wow, that’s awesome. I’ve only read it once so far, but I absolutely want to read it again!
