Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is Books On My Fall 2020 TBR.
So many books to look forward to! Most are upcoming new releases, but I’m including a couple of books from my shelves too.
(Click on any of the book cover images to see larger versions.)
- A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik
- Dying With Her Cheer Pants On by Seanan McGuire. A collection of three new stories… and of course I’ll read anything she writes.
- Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse
- Serpentine by Philip Pullman: A new novella set in the world of His Dark Materials.
- The Rules of Magic by Alice Hoffman: It’s been almost a year since I bought a copy of this book! It’s about time to read it.
- The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow
- The Children of Red Peak by Craig DiLouie
- A Stitch in Time by Kelley Armstrong
- The Hollow Places by T. Kingfisher
- Equal Rites by Terry Pratchett — my next Discworld book
What books are you most excited to read this fall? Please share your TTT link!
Great list, Lisa! I’m so excited for Black Sun, The Once and Future Witches and A Deadly Education, and one of these days I really need to cross Practical Magic off my TBR.
I re-read Practical Magic last year when I book The Rules of Magic, and really enjoyed it all over again!
The Children of Red Peak looks like a good read.
My post .
I’ve read the author’s two most recent books, and both were fantastic!
This Fall is simply amazing with new books! I have several of these for review: The Children of Red Peak, Black Sun and The Hollow Places are high on my list:-)
I was pretty sure you’d be reading Red Peak and Hollow Places!
A Deadly Education sounds so good – I’m so excited for it. Great list!
I’m really excited for it too!
I hope you will enjoy all of these! I really want to read A deadly education as well!
My post!
Ah I forgot about A Deadly Education – I should have added it to my own list! I preordered it and everything! 😀
I did really like A Stitch in Time and Equal Rites though.
Glad to hear you enjoyed both of those! I preordered A Deadly Education too, can’t wait for it to arrive.
I love seeing Equal Rites on your list! I read a great biography of Terry Pratchett earlier this year and it has me wanting to go back through the Discworld series. This fall seems like the perfect time…
Have you read the whole series? I’m slowly working my way through Discworld, going in publication order. I’m ready for #3! So many more to go…
I’ve read random ones throughout the series, but now I’m planning to work through it in publication order. I know there are a bunch of suggestions for reading order, but that seems easiest … especially with so dang many of them.
I hear you! It’s a bit overwhelming. And honestly, if I hadn’t heard so many great things, I might be discouraged by the first couple of books, except everyone says those really aren’t the best. Looking forward to continuing!
I really enjoyed Equal Rites! I haven’t read many Discworld books because I find the series order so confusing. Series within series and prequels and sequels… I just don’t know where to get a good start.
The Once and Future Witches, A Deadly Education, and A Stitch in Time are popular choices today but I can see why. They all look great to me!
I’m so glad to hear you liked Equal Rites! I decided to start reading Discworld this year, going in publication order. Like you, I’ve been confused and didn’t know where to start, so I finally figured I’d just go in order. Thanks for stopping by!
really want to read once and future witches and deadly education too!
Those two are probably my highest priority! Really looking forward to them both.
I’ve never read any Novik actually but A Deadly Education is high on my TBR. The Children of Red Peak also looks quite good. Happy reading!
I loved Uprooted (by Novik), and have a copy of but haven’t read Spinning Silver.
So happy you’ll be reading Equal Rites!!
Loving the new background, btw.
Thank you! I felt like I really wanted to change the look of the blog, but not actually change the basic theme. Today is day #1! Trying to get used to it. I’m excited for Equal Rites — I’ll be starting it next week. 🙂
Ooh, The Hollow Places looks very intriguing. I hope you enjoy all the books on your list!
Thank you! I’m really looking forward to The Hollow Places — the author’s last book was so good!
Will be interested to know what you think about Equal Rites, it’s the next Discworld book on my list too but not sure i’ll get around to reading it over the next month or so.
Happy reading!
Thanks! Happy reading to you too! I’m starting Equal Rites next week, and I’m excited to be meeting the witches!
