Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is Love Freebie, which means we all put our own spin on the topic of LOVE.
Focusing on my favorite love stories from the books I’ve read recently has become my go-to topic for the “love freebie” TTT topic — I’ve been keeping it going since 2020! Here are my ten favorite love stories that I read in the past year:

- Once More With Feeling by Elissa Sussman (review)
- The Breakaway by Jennifer Weiner (review)
- Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan (review)
- With Love, From Cold World by Alicia Thompson (review)
- Queen Charlotte by Julia Quinn and Shonda Rhimes (review)
- The True Love Experiment by Christina Lauren (review)
- Hello Stranger by Katherine Center (review)
- Sprig Muslin by Georgette Heyer (review)
- The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston (review)
- Trish Doller trilogy (Float Plan, The Suite Spot, Off the Map) (review, review, and review!)
What were the best love stories you read during the past year?
If you wrote a TTT post this week, please share your link and let me know your topic!
Happy Valentine’s Day!

It sounds like you had a romantic year of reading. 🙂
Here is my <a href=”https://lydiaschoch.com/top-ten-tuesday-books-about-chocolate/“>Top Ten Tuesday</a> post.
Yes ❤ but with horror and all sorts of other stuff mixed in too!
Once More With Feeling looks interesting. I wonder if it’s a reference to Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

That’s definitely what the title makes me think of!! Sadly, no Buffy references at all.
Thanks for sharing your list of favorites. I also loved Poston’s and Center’s books.
They were both so good!
Great list! Seven Year Slip is an amazing read!
I loved it! Can wait for her next book.
Loved Nora Goes Off Script!
It was terrific! Can’t wait to read her next book.
I haven’t read any of these! I don’t tend to read a lot of romance, so I had to resort to digging wayyyy back in my reading journal for my TTT!
Here’s my Top Ten Tuesday: https://thissideofstoryland.blogspot.com/2024/02/top-ten-tuesday-my-favorite-romance.html
I’ve started reading more romance in the past few years — really nice distractions during stressful weeks!
Yes! I’m always glad when I do pick up a romance, but I don’t very often for some reason. I’ve gotten so many great recommendations from everyone’s TTT posts this week though!
Fun list! I’ve read and loved The Seven Year Slip, and watched Queen Charlotte, but there are a bunch of these I’m curious about.😁
I loved The Seven Year Slip! I picked up Queen Charlotte at an event with Julia Quinn, and was skeptical about it, but it actually is a great read and a really good companion to the TV series.
What a good idea for this week’s TTT. I’ll have to remember it for next year. I’ve read (and loved!) seven of the books on your list…and have 2 others on my TBR list. 😀
Nice to be so in sync!
I loved The True Love Experiment and that series by Trish Doller.
I was surprised by how much I loved the Trish Doller books! Based on just the cover, I didn’t think Float Plan would be for me, but it was great!
