Monthly memes:

6 Degrees of Separation
Hosted by: Books Are My Favourite and Best
Description: On the first Saturday of every month, a book is chosen as a starting point and linked to six other books to form a chain. Readers and bloggers are invited to join in by creating their own ‘chain’ leading from the selected book. Books can be linked in obvious ways – for example, books by the same authors, from the same era or genre, or books with similar themes or settings. Or, you may choose to link them in more personal or esoteric ways: books you read on the same holiday, books given to you by a particular friend, books that remind you of a particular time in your life, or books you read for an online challenge. A book doesn’t need to be connected to all the other books on the list, only to the ones next to them in the chain.

Monthly Wrap-Up
Hosted by: Feed Your Fiction Addiction
Description: Every month, at the end of the month, I’ll put up a monthly wrap-up link-up post where everyone can link up their month end posts. There are no specific requirements for what needs to be in your post, as long as you have a book blog and your wrap-up summarizes your month in some way. Then, one week later, I’ll create a giveaway that encourages people to visit YOUR month end wrap-ups, giving entries for commenting and/or sharing.

Best of the Bunch
Hosted by: A Cocoon of Books
Description: Best of the Bunch is a monthly linkup where we can share the best books we read each month and award one of them “Best of the Bunch.” At the end of each month, take a look what you read that month and share your favorites. Then tell us which one is the Best of the Bunch — the one everyone should add to their to-read lists right now. You can use any criteria you want to determine which book to award Best of the Bunch. Then come back here and link up! The linkup will post at midnight Eastern Time on the last day of each month.

      • Are you going to add Top Ten Tuesdays to the list? If I could figure out how to get the button posted on my blog I would certainly post it. 🙂

        • I think if you grab the code under the button and post it into a text widget, it should work (look at me, acting as if I understand this stuff!!!) For Top 10 Tuesday, I’d like to add it — but I’m only adding memes once I hear from the host that they’d like to be listed. I emailed the Broke & Bookish folks, so once I hear back, I’ll add them in. (If you have contact w/them and want to mention it as well, that would be great!)

  3. This is a really great list! I love finding new memes to participate in! Most of the ones I think of creating are already out there somewhere, but I’ll keep trying (; Do you have Feature and Follow Friday? Its hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read I think.

    • Oh, definitely keep trying! There ARE a lot of memes already, but I keep being surprised by the new twists people come up with! I don’t have Feature & Follow Friday yet, but I’ll reach out to the hosts — thanks! And thank you for the nice comment. Let me know any time you have (or find) something to be added. 🙂

  9. Hi. I’m Jordan. I recently restarted my blog and started a weekly meme. It was created for other people to join in, but I’m not that known. Here is the link to my blog, in case you are willing to add it to your list: http://jordansjewels.wordpress.com/ The link to the page is at the top of the blog. It’s called Middle Grade Monday.

    Thank you in advance,
    -Jordan

    • Hi Jordan,
It would be really helpful if you’d use my Contact page to send me your information. I’ll be happy to add Middle Grade Monday, but getting the info through the Contact page helps me keep track of everyone I’m listed for updates, etc.
      Thanks!
      Lisa

    • Thanks, Aiysha! I’ll get it updated this week. If you have a moment, can you please give me your info via my Contacts page as well? It’s a big help to me for keeping track of new additions and future updates. Looking forward to checking out your meme!

Could I use 1 or 2 of the memes from here? I am all new to the meme stuff, so I thought I would ask before I use them. Thanks in advance. 🙂

      • Sorry for the late reply. Thanks so very much answering! I will credit you and link to your site when I use the memes the first time. 🙂 That way more people will find out about this handy directory.

  21. I love this directory, Lisa! I am launching a new meme tomorrow on my blog. It’s called Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, and it’s been made to share either food or drinks we have read about in books, either something we’d like to try, or something that really creeped us out (zombies, anyone?).
I’d appreciate it if you could add it to your list 🙂
    Thanks in advance!

    • Lexxie, that sounds great! If you don’t mind, could you please send me the info via my Contact page as well? That really helps me stay organized and keep track in case I need to follow up. Thank you!

    • I’d love to! Can you do me a favor, please — I’d appreciate it if you’d send your info via my Contact page as well. It works a lot better for me that way in terms of organizing all the entries and making it easier for me to follow up. Thanks!
