Monthly memes:

6 Degrees of Separation
Hosted by: Books Are My Favourite and Best
Description: On the first Saturday of every month, a book is chosen as a starting point and linked to six other books to form a chain. Readers and bloggers are invited to join in by creating their own ‘chain’ leading from the selected book. Books can be linked in obvious ways – for example, books by the same authors, from the same era or genre, or books with similar themes or settings. Or, you may choose to link them in more personal or esoteric ways: books you read on the same holiday, books given to you by a particular friend, books that remind you of a particular time in your life, or books you read for an online challenge. A book doesn’t need to be connected to all the other books on the list, only to the ones next to them in the chain.

Monthly Wrap-Up
Hosted by: Feed Your Fiction Addiction
Description: Every month, at the end of the month, I’ll put up a monthly wrap-up link-up post where everyone can link up their month end posts. There are no specific requirements for what needs to be in your post, as long as you have a book blog and your wrap-up summarizes your month in some way. Then, one week later, I’ll create a giveaway that encourages people to visit YOUR month end wrap-ups, giving entries for commenting and/or sharing.

Best of the Bunch
Hosted by: A Cocoon of Books
Description: Best of the Bunch is a monthly linkup where we can share the best books we read each month and award one of them “Best of the Bunch.” At the end of each month, take a look what you read that month and share your favorites. Then tell us which one is the Best of the Bunch — the one everyone should add to their to-read lists right now. You can use any criteria you want to determine which book to award Best of the Bunch. Then come back here and link up! The linkup will post at midnight Eastern Time on the last day of each month.

  1. I wish I would have seen this list before I created #FaeFriday! Thanks for this list! It’s extremely helpful! I’m definitely going to have to bookmark it so if I make the plunge into posting on Saturday and Sunday I’ll have some ideas!

  2. Just wanted to say thank you for this post. I’ve been joining in with Book Blogger Hop, Top 5 Tuesday and Sunday post.

  3. i think book blogs are amazing! it’s so beautiful to see the way everyone comes together. I also like your book blog, it’s so thought out and amazing!!

  4. Wow what a fantastic list. I have been wondering what memes to take part in and now I have an absolute ton to join in with. I think I will dip in and out of various ones. Excited to get started!!!
    Bookmarking this page now…… ❤❤❤

  5. Hey there. I bookmarked this long ago, but I now have my own meme for Thursdays! It is #ThrowbackThursday and the idea is for people to either highlight an older review on their blog, or talk about a book they read long ago but didn’t review, or just be nostalgic about whatever… I host a monthly link party (the latest one is here https://fresh.inlinkz.com/party/39f5f6d8a337440ba84fd3771110a35b) and I encourage people to also link to their own nostalgic posts any day of the week. My Link party starts on the Thursday BEFORE the #6Degrees of Separation (which is either the last Thursday of the previous month, or the first Thursday of the new month, depending when the first Saturday of the month lands). Here’s the link to my last one http://tcl-bookreviews.com/2021/04/29/tcls-throwbackthursday-and-linkparty-15-april-29-june-3-2021/

  6. I love this Directory! On a Monday I usually take part in a Goodreads Monday meme hosted by Lauren’s Page Turners, where you take a book from your Goodreads list, say why you want to read it, and see what other people thought of it. On my posts I also add the star rating, the number of ratings and the number of reviews listed on Goodreads 🙂

      • I have had a look and I agree that the host blog doesn’t look active.

I did a general search because I must have seen it somewhere recently and I found that other blogs have been doing it as recent as the beginning of this month (other than me!) and still referring back to that blog as a host.

        It’s a tricky one!

  7. What a great list. I have bookmarked this page as there are so many memes on here that I had no idea existed. Thanks for compiling it.
