Last week’s topic was was Top 5 old authors of 2024 (which I interpreted as “old-to-me”), so it makes sense that this week’s topic would be Top 5 new authors of 2024! Meeghan’s prompt is: Tell us all about your favourite new authors. Either debut authors from 2024, or new-to-you this year..

Bookshelf Fantasies 
I discovered Carly Fortune this year, too! Her novel, Meet Me at the Lake was short listed for Canada Reads this year… my gosh that novel broke me and I wasn’t even prepared for it!
Oh, great to know! I just borrowed the audiobook for Meet Me at the Lake from the library, and hope to start it this weekend!
It’s such a fast read, I hope you enjoy it! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
I been seeing The Teller of Small Fortunes on other blogs. Looks like a fun magical fantasy book to read.

I loved Emilia Hart’s Weyward and definitely want to read more by her. The Teller of Small Fortunes is on my TBR for next year.

I feel like there’s a Top Ten prompt coming up about “new to you” authors, and I’m looking forward to it. I also read Julie Leong and loved her book! And I read Weyward when it came out and immediately added Emilia Hart to my auto buy list😁
