Hello, friendly booklovers and bloggers! I’m working on a new weekly feature that I’ll be doing here at Bookshelf Fantasies. For now, this is just something that I plan to have fun with myself, but if there’s interest, I can certainly turn it into a meme/link-up/shared kind of thing.
As an alternative to participating in a couple of different Wednesday posts that focus on upcoming new releases, I thought I spend some time featuring books that I already own, haven’t read yet, but really want to get to! I’m noodling around with a couple of formats and approaches, but meanwhile, I haven’t quite settled on a title. And here’s where you come in:
Take a look at the possible titles for my new feature, and let me know which ones you like! I’m going with a “shelf” theme, and have a bunch of variations so far. Vote for your favorite… although I warn you now, votes are not binding! I may end up using the one with most votes, but then again, I may invoke the blog host prerogative of going with whatever suits my mood.
So what do you think? Vote for up to your top three choices, and feel free to suggest your own twist!
I’m sorry I don’t have any input regarding the title, but I love your feature idea. I’ve been pulling from the shelf lately and loving it. It would be great to highlight some books that got left behind.
Thanks! I’m actually working on a separate blog post about all of my unread books… but starting this Wednesday (I hope), I’ll roll out my new weekly feature too, once I figure out what to call it!
I would LOVE to jump on this bandwagon! I am trying to get back in the swing of blogging and as much as I love new books, I think I’m a little burned out on the shiny and new. I buy too many and I borrow so many from the library, but have so many on my shelves at home that I was just as excited about when I first got them. It would be an interesting exercise to really go through my shelves and decide which books I already have that I want to bump up on my list…and then actually read them!
Awesome! I’m going to try to get an initial post read for this week (Wednesday) — and maybe I’ll add in a link-up tool so you and others can join in too. π Should be fun!
Sounds like an interesting feature! I feel I’m always like that when it comes to my TBR queue, especially those books that have been sitting there unread the longest xD Looking forward to its first post π
Thanks! I’ve been getting frustrated the last few weeks while trying to think of upcoming new releases to feature for my “waiting” posts, especially since I’m trying to reorganize my shelves and just keep the books I actually want to read. This is ending up being good exercise for me! Doing a lot of pruning. π
Aww they are all so cute!
Oh, thanks! I was getting a bit goofy thinking up self/shelf puns. π
I LOVE this idea. I tend to avoid all new releases because I have so many books I own that I need to read, so I would definitely be all for this feature. And I love, love, love Shelf Control. But, they are all awesome π
Thank you so much! I keep thinking I have a favorite title for this feature, and then I change my mind. π Can’t wait to see how the voting turns out!
I love this idea! I’ve been looking for a meme just like this one so I’m definitely supporting this when you start it π I like Me, My Shelf, and I and Shelf Control :p
Thank you! I’m going to try to get it together for this week, and I’d love it if you’d join in! (I’m leaning toward Shelf Control at the moment… )
Love this idea! Looking forward to joining in.
Wonderful! I’d love to see your posts!
I love this feature idea! Shelf Control is a great title. π
Thank you! I think that’s the one I’m going with. π
